Buyers: AVOID THESE THINGS!

...it's good to refresh your memory--especially if it's been awhile since you've purchased real estate in your name.  

The bottom line:  Don't make any NEW financial decisions or major changes after being PREQUALIFIED or while UNDER CONTRACT.  Doing so could endanger your prequal status or the entire transaction.  You could even lose your earnest money deposit (EMD) altogether.  DON'T DO IT!
